Director of Sales - Taiwan
Job Description
Your primary job function will be to increase sales in Taiwan and to develop new business from an open territory or new business from existing accounts, as well as manages existing accounts to maintain the quality of business. Candidates who are with Asia Pacific experience can be considered for a regional sales responsibility. In this challenging role, the Director of Sales will work with a team to sell our product and services that includes COT and ASIC design services, and ASIC chips in the areas of consumer electronics and communication. The responsibility includes all aspects of chip sales ranging from sales quota delivery, branding, channel establishment, customer relation maintenance, supply chain management. Driven by various market demands and customer requirements, this position needs to be very familiar and close to the market and semiconductor business. The position is to work closely with engineering, product marketing and production teams for end product sales and delivery. Deep understanding and hands-on experience of the chip business model in various domains is essential, management skills in regional sales, customer relationship and supply chain are key success factors in this job.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the semiconductor or EDA industry. One needs to be familiar with the ASIC/COT design flow, knowledgeable in manufacturing, testing and packaging in Asian region. This position needs to be very familiar with the outsourcing model of semiconductor business. Knowledgeable and working experience in specific application segments of the consumer and communication chips is required. Exceptional knowledge and experience of all aspects in chip design and production is a plus. The ability to work with and develop relationships with multiple function groups and execute in a fast paced environment is essential. This position may require extensive traveling and the ability to work very independently.
Required Education:
BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and previous sales track record is required. Advanced degree in an engineering discipline is preferred.
